91 GMC Jimmy gas smell?

I have a 91 gmc jimmy 4x4 4.3L i just bought something wierd about it is that it smells like gas when driving down the road but it doesn't smell inside and it dont smell when the windows are closed only when i open a window. It doesent use up gas really fast there are no leaks im puzzled to what it might be any ides?

Good chance that your return fuel line has a pin hole in it by the rear wheels driver's side. Common for the line to leak from the nylon clips that secure it to the frame. Here is a link to your fuel line and you can replace the fuel line or do a patch job with a rubber fuel injector line with compression clamps no longer then 3 inches from where the leak is.
