My tranny wasn't slipping or anything, but for some reason now it won't shift into any gear.. No matter what gear you put it in, including neutral, it's in park. Also, when you shift down into 1st or 2nd it's very hard to get the shifter back into any other gear, shifts hard upwards..

Was wondering what it could be? I am new to Jimmy's so I don't have any idea. Could it be the solenoids or something wrong with the shifter itself? If you have any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks for looking..

Start with the simple and inspect your Transmission range shifter leaver cable. Make sure there are no binding or any signs of damage and replace any worn or broken parts. Here is a link that should help you visualize the parts used in your Jimmy's gear selection leaver. :D

Thanks for the advice, if anyone else has an idea let me know.

Cable is fine, any other idea's? Thanks

Check to see if your transmission leaver on the transmission can move freely, #4 in the link. http://www.compnine.com/index.php?u...delid=6872&capuid=1&majorgroup=04&grouptype=B

If it's binding, then you may have issues with the leaver main shifter in the transmission #88 in the link. http://www.compnine.com/index.php?u...delid=6872&capuid=1&majorgroup=04&grouptype=B

If the leaver on the transmission is good and the cable is good, then inspect the #61 the shift lock actuator and any related parts for any damages or binding.

Keep me posted. :D
