i have a 97 GMC jimmy with the windshield wipers not working at all wonder

what i can do to fix it? both windshield wipers was working in the rain wednesday night when it was raining then stop completely and i don't hear the motor for it running either

Common for the circuit board in the wiper motor to crack where the electrical wire clips on to. You can try tapping the wire harness at the wiper motor to see if it makes connection again for a quick fix, but you really need to replace it or re-solider the circuit board where the lead wires clip on to.

Auto Zone sells the circuit board and the Dealer also, I think it's like $15.00 which is the better price then the whole wiper motor unit. There was a recall notice that was sent out a few years ago for this issue, so it may not hurt for you to see if there is stall any coverage for your Jimmy and if not you can get the TSB fix from the dealer to address the issue your self.
