Hey guys. I have a clicking noise under my dash driving me nuts. Somewhere from the the center over the trans hump to the door, it sounds like a hand full of relays clicking constantly. Not sure whats up there so im looking for ideas.

I also have a "service air bag" message one the info center. Are these problems connected ? And if not, in a seperate question, whats the air bag message all about?

I have a 05 Sierra 2500HD with a 6.0l engine. Auto trans. 4wd on the floor. Ex cab if this info helps. Anyone?

My dad's Yukon made the same noise you are describing. It was the mode door actuator mounted on the left side of the a/c box, just to the right of your gas pedal. Next time it starts making the noise simply place your hand on the actuator and you will be able to feel the clicking. You might have to slide the floor vent out of the way to gain access to it. Keep in mind if there is a bad actuator one of the controls will stop the noise. If you adjust one lever at a time (hot /cold) (floor-vents-defrost) and the air reculation button on/off. And the noise does not go away at any of these settings then you don't have a actuator door motor problem.

As for your Air bag message, it's not working and your going to need to bring it in to the dealer to have it serviced. Air bags can only be serviced by a licences tech with a scanner to address the issues. Sorry for the bad news.

when i bought my 05 1500 the airbag light came on during the test drive, supposedly it cost the dealer 500 to have the sensor rewired, its also from the research i did a fairly common issue, usually being the sensor in the front bumper area.
