I own a 1996 GMC Sonoma with 560,000 kms on it.

My engine keeps stalling. Sometimes from a standstill and other times when I am driving at 80+ Km/hour. I just had the MAP sensor and a Torque position sensor replaced and was told that would fix it. It didn't.

I also have a problem with the ABS and parking break lights coming on while I drive and it makes the engine sputter.

What could cause this problem and how do I fix it?

Much appreciated.
(If you fix my problem and live close to me, when I fix my engine I will come pay you 20 bucks. No lie)

Inspect your ICM (ignition control module) and have it tested, if that is good inspect the wire leads in your distributor, that's a common area for corrosion to happen from condensation forming from a plugged up breather screen at the bottom of the distributor.

The other thing also is may be a dirty fuel filter and even a bad ignition switch. Keep me posted on what you have done and your progress, be glad to help you get your Sonoma running 100% again, my 96 Jimmy has about the same KM :D
