Have a 96 Jimmy , replacing the computer. Can I just pop in one from another or does it have to be programed ? Thanks.

You can for the 96 Jimmy as long it's from another Jimmy with the 4.3 vortec like yours, but you may want to have the Vin# and Pro codes re-flashed in to the new PCM to match your Vin# on your Jimmy.
