does the valves on a gmc canyon ever need adjusted?

my gmc canyon is making a sort of ticking noise when its cold......making me wounder if the valves are making a little noise.

It could be your fuel injectors just being noisy when there cold, add some Marvel Mystery Oil in to your engine oil. If you have a valve that is noisy from cabon build up, the Marvel Mystery Oil will help clean it out.
