Nah, it just feels like i been working on the Sonoma with you and kinda got attached to it :D. That's what i mean :p keep up the great work friend.

ahh i see, i misread it lol
ill keep ya posted on how everything goes back together, removing everything in it today blew my mind hah

so today got a free used sunshell, little rusty on the sides, put the spline looks in good shape, but im going to clean it up in the morning, picking up some new gaskets, filter, and some o rings, new check balls because i lost mine lol, and hopefully have it in tomorrow night, and will see if she moves again :D

Sounds good and keep up the great work. Remove and discard the 3/4 load release spring assemblies (5 small rectangular spring assemblies installed into the input housing, on the outside of the clutch pack). This really improves the 2-3 shift. Since your in there :D

while putting everything back in the case got down to the pump, and found a torrington bearing that was left, i dont even remember this coming off, any idea where it goes?

yea i was looking at that, iv been thinking it was 663, but im thinking thats the bearing inside of the planetary gears that dosent come out, when i put the bearing where it is in the picture, the snap ring (661) that goes on the shaft dosent fit on there then when i take it out it fits on there, i dont see anywhere else it could have came off

well finally found a little time to put the trans together today instead of it sitting on my back porch, got everything in the case put together today, never do i want to open it back up ha, the bearing actually went where i thought it went at first, went up to a shop and asked, going to try and tackle the valve body here after while, might try and put the bitch back in in the morning, who knows lol preciate the help

With all the time you put in your Sonoma, might as well keep it. Keep up the great work and keep us posted. :D

going to have the trans in tonight, but i have a question, we dropped a hefty oak branch on my transfer case and its now useless, anyway i can tell if my transmission is put together right with only it in, no transfer case or anything, just dont want to go spend 175 on the transfer case im getting if the trans dosent work

Does the output shaft meet up with the drive shaft??? If not, don't try it without a drive shaft connected to the transmission and to the rear end.

Try the Salvage Yards for a transfercase, price should be better then $175.00;) Keep us posted and your almost done.

ok so everything in, i just have to install my distributer and plug a few things up but i dont know where a vacume line goes, not the vent line on the top of the trans, but theres 2 black lines one goes to the t/c but im thinking the other goes to the trans? i have the crossmember on so its a little hard to see up in there
