2000 Jimmy Diamond Edition fuel gauge doesn't work. When i replaced the fuel pump it worked for a couple of days then just stop working. Now the fuel light is on and the neddle stays on empty. What can i do to check this out?

Start with the simple and check the wire harness from the gas tank to the frame. The harness is about $15.00 at NAPA or Parts Source and should have been replaced the same time the fuel pump was replaced.
What happens is that the old harness get's moved around and stretched, causing the wire in side the insulation to break. Start with that and see if you can move the harness around, if your gauges start working again. Replace the harness, but your going to have to drop the tank again.

I have never had my tank down but my gauge just around. When I fill up it is ok until about 1/2 tank then will jump back to full. If I run it to close to empty it jumps from E to F. Could it be the same harness or would it be in the tank with the sending unit?

Sounds like the float in the sending unit has a bad spot and the resistance readings it's sending is erratic. Try putting a can of http://www.seafoamsales.com/ in your gas tank. The seafoam will clean out your fuel lines and your sending unit if it's dirty, the other is to replace the sending unit it self.
