First Off, Hello, Nice to be part of the Forums here now
So, I Own a 1994(1993) GMC Jimmy, it is a 1993, but manufactured in the first Quarter of 1994, I have been talking to the local GM dealership in town, as the Frame is immaculate and everything is, with the exception of the passenger fender, that I can buy brand new remanufactured locally for $110+tax and i was inquiring there about a new V6 for it, as the engine is the only thing really starting to go. the Parts guy had atually mentioned that i would not easily be able to get a crate V6 vortec, and might be better off if interested buying a brand new crate 305 V8, the question I have as i wanted some personal experience input, is would i be able to put the engine in with Fuel injection easily? he mentioned they were designed for a Carb, and also, how difficult would it be to have it running with an OBDII computer, instead of the basic OBD that was used in 1993? this might just be a totally Dumb lineup of questions, but i figured i would ask a community that seems to Know GM's
