95 gmc sierra running rough?

my wife was on the way home when out of the blue it started running rough when under 30 mph. Stalled a couple of times but she made it home. We live in Wisconsin and its been getting cold lately. She has not put any *heat* in the tank. Some of my friends are thinking the plugs and/or wires are the problem, others think its starving for gas. Can't really afford to take it to the shop right now but it runs so rough its not drivable. She said the oil pressure gauge fluctuated and the service engine soon light came on but doesn't know if the light went out or pressure stabilized. When I went out the other day after this happened the light was out and oil pressure was stable.

The TBI engines are fuel pressure sensitive, start with the simple and replace the fuel filter. It would not hurt also to clean your throttle body out also with throttle body cleaner. Just follow the instructions on the can.

Even a drop of 2 PSI can cause the issues you have described, the best PSI for the TBI's to run is 13-14 PSI. Anything different will not give you 100% of the engine's performance.
