Hello all. I am new to this forum and was hoping you could help me with the pricing of my 1st GM purchase. I have always been a Ford F150 man, but I have fallen in love with the GMC Sierra. I was wondering what you guys / gals though would be a fair price from a local Ohio Chevy dealership.

2007 GMC Sierra SLT

- Extended Cab 6.5' Bed
- 5.3L
- 4x4 (w/o z71)
- 21,000 miles
- Gunmetal blue paint / Black leather
- All the standard equip (SLT with SUV style dash)
- Options: Adjustable pedals, Traction control, Park sensors, and Heated washer fluid
- Standard 6 Disc radio w/o GPS
- No sun roof or rear slider
- 20" Wheels
- Bed liner
- Step bars
- No rust at all
- Paint & interior are clean, very well maintained

I am interested in this truck but so not want to over pay for it. If you guys could get me in the ball park since I am new to the GMC's it would be much appreciated. Thank you very much in advance. ~Frank~:D

The economy is so bad right now that the blue book rating is out the window. Log on to http://motors.shop.ebay.ca/GMC-/624...001,6000&_sop=1&_ssov=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282 to goive you a better average price of the Sierra your interested in.

Good luck and keep us posted, I once had a 2002 Lightning. :(

Ok thank you I will take a look on there.

I had a sonic blue 03 Lightning, it was a fun truck I miss it.

I worked at a speed shop and mod out the lightning as much as i can and still could not get it to go like my Typhoon.. Good luck and the Sierra, you'll find the 5.3 vortec a great engine. Just don't power wash the engine, the two knock sensors are in the valley between the banks and water will cause the harness to corrode and cause timing issues when the knock sensors go bad.

Other then that, i find it a much easier engine to maintain then the Lightning engine. After a while when you need more power out of your drive-train. Give these guys a call. http://www.pcmforless.com/ or http://www.wait4meperformance.com/. But to get the most would be to swap in a LS1 Hot Cam. LS1 Hot Cam Kit - 218/227 .525/.525 112 LSA http://www.thunderracing.com/

Enjoy your new toy.:D

Thanks for all the great performance info!

Yeah plug changes on the L where a nightmare. That SC engine was burried half way under the cowl. I can't believe the amount of room under hood on the sierra / silverado trucks. You could sit in the engine compartment to work on them! :D

Local dealer here has two 2007 GMC Sierra Z71 e cab 4x4 with SLE (cloth interiors) and they are asking $25,495. No miles listed but 15,000 miles a year is average miles so anything less than that will command a higher price.

Fwiw - Z71 is only a few hundred $ option. Be careful, lots of unscrupulous used car dealers put Z71 decals on non-Z71 equipped trucks to get more money. Friend nearly bought one like that a year ago.
