hey guys whats up? im coming here from the impreza wrx world, been there for about 5 years, upgraded turbo, injectors exhaust, intercooler, fuel pump, upipe, suspension, had it tuned to 21 PSI was putting out about 360HP at the crank. unfortunately my car came to a tragic ending upon my stupidity...anyways now i have a 98 gmc seirra 1500 with 39000 miles, its the base base model. 6 cylinder frigging no cd or casette lol. i have a couple questions.
1. how big is the engine? i looked it up and i found 4.3 liters. 2 what is holding this engine back? thats a pretty big motor to only be rated at 200 ponies and 3 are there any exhaust components made for this engine or am i going to have to have custom stuff made? i can only find parts for the 8 cylinder.
now i know a 6 cylinder motor is going to be cranking out much more HP from simple bolt ons but i want to do something. nothing crazy just enough for it to sound good and get more out of this engine. i was thinking headers all the way back and an intake. im gonna concentrate more on the body with this. like maybe the newer sierra rims and make the susupension a little stiffer. again im coming from a little car that had very little body roll. so i want to get that out of there too as best i can....let the roasting begin.
