04 sierra 5.3 with 230,000k on it
It takes a gallon of water every 2days and I can't find were it's leaking
Any guesses

Just a thought,is there alot of white smoke coming out of the exhaust. If there is I'm thinking maybe a head gasket.

The 5.3 had issues with the water pump gaskets are known to leak when the engine is running. The leak is small enough that it will not puddle and the coolant will evaporate as it hits the hot engine without any signs of smoke since there is air flow to the front of the engine. ;)

The other issue would be a intake gasket failure. Keep us posted and hope it's a bad water pump gasket, rather then a intake gasket. ;)

Maybe that's it but the waterpump has been replaced not to long ago so idk

Since you had your water pump replaced, inspect it for faulty workmanship. Of someone taking short cuts and used silicone gasket maker rather then a real gasket when the water pump was installed.

Keep us posted.
