went to open the hood on my 1994 k1500 suburban and the handle pulled all the way out but never released the hood, there is no resistance so i am assuming the cable is broken, it has been opening difficult for awhile so i was waiting for this to happen, so you probably know my next question, how am i going to get the hood open, and when i do what kind of a job is it to replace the cable, but first lets try and get the hood open, any ideas or experiences i am up to hear

my father in law told me awhile back there are two things in life you will always have problems with, tits and tires, (meaning women and vehicles) sorry if that affends anyone, but i think he may be right

The only thing i can think of is to try to fish out the cable through the grill with a coat hanger and then pull on it with a set of pliers. Once the hood is open, your going to have to replace the cable.;)

Good luck and keep us posted. ;)

was able to take parking light out and reach up and through to release hood, cable isnt broke just stretched out, works 90% of the time
