Ecm Fuse

We have a 1995 Gmc Jimmy. Yesterday while out, roads were bad and needed to use 4 x 4. Four wheel drive engaged ok, but when you turn headlights on the ecm fuse blows and 4 x 4 quits working. Any ideas?

Your fuel filter may be dirty causing your fuel pump to work harder, taxing your electrical circuit to ti's limit. The fuel pump is ran through the ECM fuse and with all the electrical device running, the alternator may have spiked causing the fuse to go bad.

Start with the simple and replace your fuel filter and keep us posted.
