Hey guys, I need your help!!!

today I did something a little bit different due to the cold... I let my truck idle/heat up for 32 minutes whereas I normally only do it for 10 minutes.

anyways, now when I turn the keys off, and the heater fan off, nothing happens. the heater fan is staying on!!!! I dont want it to kill my battery as its -44 out today and I dont know what to do to fix it, I tried googling it without any success which is weird. usually google finds anything!

any advice?

thank you very much in advance!!

Inspect the blower fan relay and replace or swap it out with another relay. if the issue is resolved when the blower fan relay is swapped out. Replace the relay with a new one.

Good luck and keep us posted. ;)

ok, I know my way around a 4 stroke dirtbike like its nothing, but ive never worked on a truck or car engine before!! or even seen many or that matter. im 20 and just started driving a year ago!

can you explain exactly where and what I have to do?

I talked to a friend and he said letting it run would kill the battery obviously, so what if I used my remote start and started it every 2-3 hours and let it run for 10-15 minutes? how long will the fan run for before the battery dies? is 10-15 minutes enough to charge the battery? it is -30c right now.

thanks.

Relays are located in the fuse and relay box under the hood in the engine compartment. There should be labeled to what fuses and relays are, in your owners manual will also have the information to where the relay is also.

Good luck and keep us posted. ;)

ok I will have to take a look tomorrow.

how long will the battery run the fan for before it dies? how long would I have to run the truck so it charges the battery? 10-15 minutes good enough, every 3 hours?

turns out the battery dies in under 2 hours. what a disaster this has turned out to be!!
