horse power for 96 sierrra

so i have my 96 sierra with a spectre air intake, and i have a flowmaster muffler. I was thinking about getting the 1st stage jet performance chip. What else would be a good way to get some horsepower?

That would be a good start, but best is to have your PCM re flashed with a custom program for your performance your looking for.

what exactly does that do?

It reprograms your PCM to run the engine and transmission to run it's full performance. The Stock PCM program is to meet the emission standards and the average public capabilities of driving habits.

Example: the Torque management will be turned down a little and shift points to the transmission more firm and shift a lower RPM at it's maximum TQ band.
