Brand new Sierra owner and love 99.9% of the vehicle. The 0.01% that continues to drive me nuts is the reality that I can't use the USB port to connect and listen to music using my Android phone. Seems foolish that GM would only cater to the iPhone, ipod users and ignore such a large population of droid users. Has anyone successfully connected their Android phone through the USB port and play music?

Thanks

You go to AUX input device then hit "Menu" ... NOT "config" and from there follow the setup instructions.

Works like a damn charm :D Keep us posted

I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying your Sierra so much! Unfortunately, though, Android devices can only be used with the auxiliary input jack.

Thanks,

2013 Denali bluetooth and usb issues with Android

After two more production years.. re the 2011 Sierra owner, I am still stunned by the design choice to continue neglecting full Android support in your top end models. Apple is not the only game in town. Please release a firmware update to implement this international standard. As most Android owners will tell you, we purchased smart phones and purposely avoided Apple for our own reasons. Reconsider snubbing such a vast audience of technology owners, some of whom, including myself, may have reconsidered their vehicle purchase because of your lack of support for a superior device. All we want is full bluetooth and usb connectivity.. not just to charge the phone or take calls.. give us full audio so we can also use our play lists and enrich the experience not make us feel like the red headed ugly step child
