GFX option issues

2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD Diesel c/w GFX package: Speedo has bright and dark spots and digital readout cannot be read in bright daylight as the brightness is insufficient and cannot be increased by the dashboard dimmer control. It is far inferior to the radio display for brightness.
The tubular running bars(boards) have rubber steps and the leading edge of the steps is lifting exposing the hollow tube to moisture and dirt intake.

Does anyone else have these issues? Or had and been rectified?

Just to clarify, are you referring to the driver's info center on the instrument panel that you're having trouble with the visibility?
