Hi i'm new to this forum and have a general question about tires. Is it ok for me to run 255/70/16s in the both the front and back without any issues. I'm looking to drive to fla from ohio in 2 weeks and need tires badly. Any help would be much appreciated.

Look on your drivers side door , there should be a sticker
telling you what size tire it came with and the correct air
pressure to have in them.

Are you running after market rims on your Jimmy. The stock wheel size was 235/70R15 that standard on the jimmy. The 255/70R16 Overall Diameter will be 30.05 in, at to the stock size Overall Diameter 27.95 in.

At Actual Speed of 60 mph, your Speedometer will read 55.8 mph. With the stock 15 Inch rims on my Jimmy, I am running 255/60R15. At Actual Speed 60 mph my Speedometer reads 62.0 mph. Post back your tire size now and ill see what best options you have for tire size.

245/60R16 tire size is what i am running on my summer 16 inch rims. At Actual Speed 60 mph, my Speedometer reads 60.8 mph. ;)

Hope this helps and keep us posted.
