It can be done, but your going to have to use a 1994 vortec or newer 5.7 liter with the PCM Swapped for you to keep your 94 street legal.
The V8 kits don't cost that much and can be done tuned within 2 days of easy work. The transmission will be the same other then replacing the boost valve and sleeves and also swap out the Servo with corvette servo to save your transmission.
Here is a link that for you to help you get all the answers you need about the swap. Just been a long time since i did one lol
thank you is it plug and play and just wondering if i could put a different little more agresive camm in it and not deal with the computer or electronics. and i was just wondering for a later project has any one put a 383 or 454 engine in a jimmy or is it easy to do . i dont care if i have to make it 2 wheel drive.
a chevy 350 engine will fit into the 94 jimmy/blazers, friend of mine did it, be aware if you keep the stock tansmisiion you will blow the tranny seal out a couple times.
I have a 95 1500 suburban with 5.7 8cyl 350 4x4 knocking in bottom end. I know its not reccommended but can you drop oil pan and crank without taking engine out truck. if not what year models are compatible to just to take one out and drop other in.
