Hi, i have a 96 jimmy with a push button 4x4. when i try to engage the 4x4 by pushing the button, it doesnt engage. I hear a click when i push the button, but it doesnt engage. I removed the headlight to check the actuator. I had my friend push the button while i watched the actuator. As far as i know, when the button is pushed, the actuator should tug on the cable. The cable and actuator did not move. I also checked the vaccum line to the actuator and there was no vaccum suction at all. Can anybody tell me how to fix this or where to go from here. Winter is coming up so i would like to fix this asap. Any help is appreciated, thank you for your time.

Check your vacuum lines for cracks starting from the firewall on the drivers side by the brake booster and work your way down to the vacuum switch on top of the transfer case on the drivers side. From the switch the lines go to the actuator and the other is just a breather.
