Hi all,
I recently did a scan specifically for ABS System on my 96 Jimmy SLS 4x4, and it came up with the following codes:
B1268 - Pump Motor Shorted
B1251 Rear Isolation Solenoid Circuit Open
B1245 Left Front Isolation Solenoid Circuit Open
B1241 Right Front Isolation Solenoid Circuit Open
B1221 Right Front Speed Sensor Circuit Open

Now what is interesting is that after each one it says HISTORY. I have no idea what that means. Also I should mention that my ABS light is NOT ON. It lights up when I start my truck then goes off just as it is supposed to according the manual. My understanding is that if there is a problem with ABS then the ABS light would stay lit indicating an issue, but that is not happening. I will also mention that I have triggered the ABS to kick in by hitting the brakes hard on a wet bumpy surface and they did engage. So at this point I am really confused on whether or not I have a problem.

I also have two other OBD codes:
P0442 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (small leak)
P0753 Shift Solenoid A Electrical

The Evap one I have been hunting down for a while with no success. The Shift Solenoid one confuses me as I have no trouble with my transmission (other than the leak that I need to take into the shop to get addressed). But as far as shifting goes everything works fine. I have 1-4 and OD just as I am supposed to. Shifting from 1st to 2nd is a harder shift than all others but it's not super hard or jerky, just different than the rest.

I know this is a lot, but I am at a loss. Thanks.

Clear the codes and re check for new codes after a test drive or a few dyas later. The codes from what you described are history and not active codes, so they have been addressed if you have no check engine lights on and everything it working the way they should be.

Start with that and post back once you cleared the codes. :D

Thanks for the reply.

I cleared the codes last night and in fact have cleared them before and even a scan with no engine light reveals the same. The evap and shift solenoid are the only ones not showing HISTORY after them. When I first got the P0753 the engine light came on and I did not clear it. I put some transmission fluid in and the next morning the light was off all on it's own. Last night the light came on and that prompted me to scan again. I am not sure why it says the solenoid is bad when everything seems to be working properly. Also I am pretty sure it was the stupid evap code that prompted the engine light again. As far as that goes, I have replaced vacuum lines that I could see and a couple fittings but obviously I have not found the culprit of the small leak.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
