I need to replace the sway bar bushings and end links on my 99 Jimmy. I have an Energy Suspension polyurethane kit and I'm ready to go. I'm a pretty competent DIYer, but I never done this job before. Anything I should look out for? Any tips or tricks to make it go smoothly? Thanks.

Easiest thing to do is to break the end links off. Its the easiest thing to do and the bushings just slip of. Its about a 30min job.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Just got completed, so I guess for me it was a 90 minute job! Oh well. It wasnt bad at all, I just didn't know what to expect. While trying to take the end links off, the head broke off so i just had to beat the rest of them off. That worked just fine.

Now to figure out why this belt is squealing!

How do I know how tight to tighten these polyurethane end links?

Tighten them enough that there not squeeze to the point that you have no flexing. As for the belt making noise, you may just need a new belt. Keep in mind that some belts are better in keeping quiet then others.

Good luck and keep up the great work, don't for get the grease the bushings.
