Can someone please tell me what this part name is? It has a vacuum line that runs to a T and splits off to the vacuum actuator. My local parts store couldn't pull it up. Is this a crucial piece to the 4x4 system? I ran all new vacuum lines to the new vacuum switch (transfer case), and my 4x4 still doesnt work. jpeg 19.5 KB 620 280

Can you please let me know the year of your Jimmy. There are a few years where GM had made changes to there 4wd vacuum lines.

Thanks and ill get back to you

It's a 1992, 4.3 cpi, transfer case says 231c. I knew that if anyone on this gods green earth would know it would be MOLSON! Thanks

Spoke too soon

I think I spoke too soon! Over 100+ views and still no answer as to what that part is! Someone has to know!

Since nobody has a clue, I guess I am going to Install the manual posi-lok engagement system. Oh well thanks anyway everyone!

I changed that already when I did the head gasket. It was connected to a vacuum line and the other end was connected to a wiring harness.

Thanks for the reply though.

Is it attached to a wire that runs back and across the top of the firewall? I have one if those too. Only mine doesn't have a T in the vacuum line... It comes straight from the actuator to a brass fitting, then 3/4" rubber tube and then whatever that sensor is. Mines a 96 slt. I can't be too sure about everything being to spec since I bought it for $100 with a blown trans.

Much easier to do that than say...take the part to a gm garage and ask
them.

if its what i think it is - it tells the computer that your in 4wd when the front diff is accuated - I believe it's mainly for 4wd low
