where can i buy the replacement chip jeff m

The newer vehicles have a limiter built into the computer. There are chips made for your vehicle to replace the current chip to eliminate this.

Ha ha.

you don't need to go over 100 anyways. but just in case you're wondering that's THE GOVERNATOR. it's put in place by the factory not Carmax.

if you disable it your car will go over 100 and you dont want that. you'll get in more trouble and you'll loose what braincells you have left if you get in a crash at over 100MPH

enjoy life under 100

I guess that is what is going on..100mph in a pickup truck on the highway is just plain stupid!

If needs must and he wants to compete on the German Autoban..then I would strongly suggest professional racing suspension mods, along with redistribution of weight, as well as ripping out the interior and then installing a crash certified cage. Then obtaining a good used Dale Ernhardt special suite with silks, a neck brace and most importantly a racing harness that is cage fitted then weld the doors shut and remove the drivers side window so you can actually get in and out!

All these mods might dramatically effect resale value though:D
