I have a 2006 Sierra 2500HD duramax crew cab. The problem start a few month ago. After sitting in the yard for a week, the truck would not start. Bost it and it start, no problem. Got the mecanic to check; battery's, alternator and starter are fine. Next month, left the truck in the yard for the a long week end, 3 days, the truck would not start, bost it and change both battery's. Last month, 2 days in the yard, same thing, change the alternator even after the mecanic says it is still good. Last week end, drive the truck up north for 2 hrs, stop the truck at 20:00. Saterday start the truck at 21:00 drive and other 2 hrs and stop the truck. Sunday at 14:00 start the truck, move it 25 feet, load the trailer, the 4 wheelers, get the wife and the kids in the truck and nothing.... Unload the 4 wheelers drive arround to find somebody in the woods. Got an hunter to bost me. Drove back to my house and start the truck this morning no problem. Got it to my shop, start and stop it for at lease 12 times testing with both battery's, one at a time etc. Still working fine. Since my mecanic think, I like him very much since I pay for him to check my electrical system 4 times for nothing, change 2 very good battery that he put in his truck, change a working alternator for nothing that he sold as use to an other customer, I would like to know if somebody would have a solution other of giving my truck to my mecanic? Thank you.

FOX333,
I would like to apologize for the issues that you have experienced with your Sierra as well as your mechanic. I understand your concerns as well as frustrations with this. I would recommend that you take your truck into your local GMC dealer to have them look into this for you. They may be in the best position to get this issue properly diagnosed for you. Please keep me posted on this. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me anytime.
Thank you,
Stacy Chevrolet Customer Service

Not much help that would be if it was his local dealer who has been sending him on a wild goose chase.....

Since the last week end the truck start everymorning. If I bring it to the dealer, he will investigate for a month and still won't find it. I hope to find somebody that add this problem and already found a solution. If I bring it to any mecanic, with and eratic problem, he might take the truck a part and still not find it. Untill somebody can line me up in the right direction, I can only hope it start to do it more often so we can pin point the problem, but that include a lot of towing or boosting!
