gmc jimmy rad replacment

i have a 97 jimmy 4.3, my radiator is rusted out and i want to replace. in order to do so would i need to replace the waterpum along with the heater core, or will a flush be okay for those parts... also is there any way to bypass the quick disconnect to avoid the leaking motor and trans fluid

Since your replacing the tax, might as well replace the water pump also. The heater core will be a full days work with the dissasembling of the dash.

As for your question about the transmission and oil cooler lines. There is no way around the fact that you will lose some fluids and it will get messy.

I was looking to avoid replacing the water pump hah. But I wanted to replace the quick disconnect with a more secure line after I have the rad in. I don't see a reason to quickly disconnect a radiator haha. I'll try and figure something out when the time comes and post what I've found. Thanks
