transmission question

hello, i have an 03 envoy, awd, 4.2 I6, 116xxx miles, just had a trans flush, fluid level good. my transmission is slipping like crazy for a few miles then starts working great. i can put in drive, it takes a second or two, then pull down to the highway bout a hundred fifity feet, pull out into highway then all of a sudden the rpm's go to 5grand, i let off gas pedal, then back on the pedal and i can feel it grab and go back into gear. if it was the trans itself, would it do it all the time? only when its cold it does this. are there any solenoids to check, maybe the flywheel. anything but a new transmission.

Did it EVER do this BEFORE you R&R'd the tranny fluid?

I hope you used Dexron IV ATF fluid. And are you SURE the level is correct.

Did you do the work or did you pay to have somebody do it?
