Looking for some information on Aftermarket/performance fuel pumps for my 1998 GMC Sierra K1500 SLE Z71 Off-road. I have a 5.7L 350ci V8. The fuel pump has been replaced twice already, and I have only 157,000kms on it. Looking for a more performance driven pump and more reliable one. Also looking to be price weary, don't have millions to spend here.

Any other performance upgrade advice would be appreciated too!! :)

Looking at a K&N Cold Air Intake for it, going to do a Cat-Delete exhaust with a Flowmaster Original 40 muffler (maybe a Super10, and maybe full length headers if I can find a good set for cheap). Not sure what else to do to it.

Nothing at all? Nobody has put performance into their 5.7L '98 K1500? There's got to be something.

As for your fuel pump question, keep your fuel tank no less then 1/3 at all times to keep the pump cool and service your fuel filter as suggested in your manual if not every 6 months. At best upgrade your negative wire to the fuel pump to ensure a good amount current flow to the pump.

Good luck and keep us posted.

The first 2 links in that thread do not work. (Youtube video doesn't exist, and other is a '404 Not Found')

Definitely going to look into the transmission shift improver. Possibly a throttle body spacer, unless I can get that other link to work and look at that.

Those ones worked! Thanks!

Any other thoughts or ideas on aftermarket/performance upgrades are more than welcome!!!!

Put in the electronic shift improver, it's Awesome! I'm up 1 mpg and the shifting is so crisp. Haven't done anything in the throttle body area yet. Definitely interested in the ported throttle body.

Any other upgrade ideas that aren't too pricey that will give me some more power and/or mileage?
