I've been driving a 2002 Toyota Tacoma since it was new. About a month ago, some kid decided texting was more important than driving and veered off the road and into the left turn lane my wife was sitting in and totaled the Tacoma. My wife was fine once they cut her out of the truck.

My best friend sold me his 1990 Sierra SL and now I need to put new tires on it. The truck is a Sierra SL K1500 4x4 single cab with a 5-speed. The 5.7 V8 seems to run really well so other than tires and paint, I'm pretty happy.

My question is, what are the biggest tires I can expect to put on it if I lift it 3"? Being that this is my first post on the board, don't bash me too hard about the stupid questions. Most of my forum experience is on motorcycle forums.

Your didn't brake the internet, the forum has been slow this summer for everyone spending time out side from a long crazy winter.

As for your question, 31x12.50x16 boggers with 16x10 with a 3 inch body lift looks aggressive and you still have room to even go up to 33x12.50x16.

That's what would please my eyes, but im not in to raising the truck much and i stay on the hard top.

keep us posted and the Sierra looks like a good buy.

Thanks for the reply. The 3" lift will be installed this weekend and the tires soon thereafter. I'm really bummed about my Toyota being destroyed but I'm starting to really have fun with the GMC. Thanks again!
