LED bulbs and existing turn signal/flasher module

Hi.
Has anyone tried to switch signal bulbs to LED and were able to use the existing turn signal/emergency flasher module? I have not been able to find a replacement module specifically for the LED bulbs. Short of removing the headlight and tail light assemblies and trying the bulbs, I thought I would enquire here first to see if anyone has taken the plunge into it already. I would rather not put a resistor at each signal bulb wire, too many joints in wiring just causes issues later on.

They make a replacement turn signal flasher just for LED's. The cost is about 13 bucks. I got it off LED outfitters.

www.superbrightleds.com also has electronic (not mechanical flasher units). You can also get them at any auto parts store now.
Just be aware, if you are 'LED-izing" your vehicle and you live in a cold climate, that LEDs (tail lights, etc) won't get hot enough to keep tail lights clear of ice. Ask me how I know, LOL....
