09 Sierra - Front Bumper Air Slot - Necessary or No?

Did something stupid and have to replace my 09 Sierra SLE elEctrnded Cab front bumper. I found a decent one but it's got the pre-milder spot for a front license plate on it instead of the air slot.

I don't do much towing at all and only small trailers if I do. Am I gong to cause damage if I replace the bumper with one without the air slot, or is it not that big a deal?
