09 Sierra Problem

I have an 09 sierra crew cab and I am very happy with it except for the ABS light came on which in turn disabled my traction control. I assume its just a sensor do to the fact that it was wet then got cold but i dont know for sure I put it up on a hoist and checked it out everything looks to be ok visually. Has anyone else had this problem if so what caused it and was it an easy inexpensive fix or is it something major? Any help would be gratly appreciated

If you can have the Sierra scanned, it would put out a code on to which wheel sensor is gone bad. The other simple way is to inspect the wheel sensor and clean it with break parts cleaner and that the sensor is not to far from the speed ring on the hub.

Most of the time a simple cleaning will fix the issue cause dirt gets between the ring and sensor.

Thanks for the help turns out my ECBM had melted the connector (not sure how) but it was replaced and is no longer a problem.

Was it warrantee

It did fall under the warranty which is nice because the part alone was $500 and three hours labour ontop it would have been a little hard on the ol' wallet

Ok I finally got the truck to the dealer last week and got it back today. Dealer states cause of issue "K7254 R&R 2-6 clutch-disasemble, tac case 71-1064497549, clean out as per tac replacement clutch pistons due to scoring, flush lines, coole v-body. Truck now runs as smooth and shifts normal
