Hi,

I tried to remove the instrument panel on my 1985 C20 suburban. After removing the 8 screws and the headlight knob, I found the plastic panel being held back by a red/black wire pair going to the top of the panel between the speedometer and the gas gauge.

Anyone know what these wires are and how I can remove them to get into the panel?

Thanks

Chuk

wow! 120 views and no ideas?

To help further, there is a small, plastic, rectangular piece in the dash right above and between the gas gauge and the speedometer. 2 wires attach to it from the back. I have no idea what this is for or how to remove the wires so I can remove the instrument panel cover. I need to change the dash light bulbs.

Help?

Chuk

well read your post many times and looked at the pic for a while......

What i would do if it was me is well pull it out enought to see whats there. I know you don't want to break it but it should pull out enought so you can get in there.

I also know when to stop pulling so if it feels REAL solid then stop but if it comes with a little help the keep pulling.

Let me know how you make out.
