I had an oil leak from the distributor. When I went to re-installed all the plastic connector were old a fragile. Small clips broke... While timing the ignition, I shut off the engine to tighten the bolt. Next no start! no voltage to coil from harness. Replaced the entire distributor with a re-manufactured unit (due to the old condition of the original). No voltage still, replaced spark control, now have voltage but no spark. Replaced coil, now voltage in to coil and voltage back to distributor. no start, no spark on the coil wire(hei test plug). Also for giggles new ECM with old eprom.
Need help!

Start with the simple and check you fuses and then work your way to the wire harness to your ignition system.

Keep us posted and good luck;)

Next Phase

3-4 NOt much time to work on the truck. Now have the service manuals. IT appears that I am chasing an issue. The ECM "B" fuse blew. Replaced it Now I get a 12 code flash. No spark, no gas but i hear the fuel hum. According to the service manual if it flashes 12 codes and no fault codes the issue is the ECM. Saturday will confirm the fuel system is functional.

Thanks for your help, Molson02536
