1993 GMC Sierra stereo question?

I own a 1993 GMC Sierra 1500 (pick-up) I want to replace the stereo in my truck but most car & audio places are offering me a replacement system that fits over the cassette player, I want to remove the factory radio and replace with a double din 6inch touchscreen system. Is this possible?

Yes it is. All the major audio makers have double din drop-in units.

it is, the best place i know of here to do that is at BestBuy. other then that take it to these costumization shops that do all the big boy stuff like the big rims and big stereos. if seen it in alot of them trucks. it should be simple for them.
