Hi,
Is there any special bleeding procedure required in obtaining a normal pedal in a 1993 1500 series Suburban? One of the steel lines in the back ruptured and after replacing it and bleeding the system I still have the abs light as well as the brake light glowing. The pedal feels ok, maybe a little lower than it was and the truck does not have the stopping power that it had before.
I've been told that the proportioning valve may have to be dealt with or that I may have to go to a dealer to service the abs system.
The front compartment did just about drain out when the line broke. When I would open each bleeder during the bleeding phase the fluid seemed like there should be more pressure behid it. Would taking the master off and bench bleeding help?
I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks, Monty
