I have a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500 2 5.7L wheel drive that Has 212,xxx miles on it. The tranny would shift hard from 1-2, there was not problem in any other gears. CEL came on and it was for the pressure plate in the tranny. Pressure plate was changed and hard shift went away but then a couple days later it came back but was different(Harder and intermittent). Shift is so hard that I chirp the tires, but only when I get on the throttle not easy driving. Tranny was rebuilt/overhauled at a reputable shop approximately 2 years ago. There hasn't been any other code other than for my EGR valve that needs to be replaced.
Also recently intermittently in reverse, not sure if its the tranny, drive line or rear end but something begins squeaking.
The rubber transmission mount was a little torn/worn could that contribute to the hard shift?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
