1995 Jimmy dies whenever i stop

Hello all, new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could lend a hand i'm scratching my head here. have a 95 jimmy and everytime i come to a stop the trucks idle drops and it dies. it does have a code pop up for an o2 sensor. i had to disconnect the battery so it went away, should have written it down beforehand. anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

If anyone is having the same issue with dying at a stop I did a lot of researching and asking around and i think i have narrowed the problem down to a bad idle air control valve. going to replace it tomorrow and see what happens.
