1995 sonoma key wont turn

Have a 1995 sonoma wheel is locked and key will not turn. What can I do? I have tried wiggling the key and taking it out and putting back in. Nothing and tried moving wheel nothing.

I Found that with the key to my Sonoma, after repeated use of unlocking the doors and starting the truck that they key starts to become twisted. When my key becomes slightly twisted it will not start the truck. It wont even Turn when in the ignition and sometimes it even becomes stuck in the ignition. I usually use the door and turn the key the opposite way to bend it back. #benditlikebeckham

UPDATE.

The other day I go to start my 1995 GMC Sonoma, and the key wont turn.
I had just started the truck 5 minutes before and the very same key worked then.


After hours of messing around the only solution that worked was to hit the key in the ignition with a hammer.


No, i'm not joking. I put the key in the ignition and hit it with a hammer. I guess a tumbler or something is broken and a hammer was the only solution. Took 3 good hits from slightly different angles for it to work. Never had a problem since.
