hey all, have a question bout my 96 serria, my battery is charged but when u turn the key nothing happens, i have checked all my fuses and they are all good and have power to them except the 10 amp crank fuse, it has no power to either side of the fuse socket.... got any ideas why??

Hey there,

first get someone to crank the enging really fast... ign on crank on crank on crank understand

as they are doing this hit the starter main body with a hammer... chances are it will start if your battery is strong...so dont scare the bugeesus out of yourself :) make sure you are safe and the truck is in park with pbrake on!!!!

if you can get it to start with a hammer the starter need replacing!!

if you cannot get a test light and find the signal power connection and check to see if you have ign power going down to the starter....

if yes make sure you have power with your test light on the main starter connection ( Heavy power wire )!!

good luck

ok no power to the main feed to the starter?

or no power to the signal wire ? ign wire ? you need someone to try start the motor for power on the signal wire ?

sounds like your ign switch bit the bullet !!!! if you have no power to the ign wire at the starter when attempting to crank!

cheers
