What will cause one cylinder to fill up with gas? I just replaced head gaskets and soaked all the fuel injectors in diesel fuel to remove carbon. It started just fine the first time after assembling back together, I let it run for about a minuite then shut it off. But the second time I went to start it, when I turned the key on, I could hear the fuel pump running for an unusually long amount of time, about 25 seconds. When I cranked it the second time it just went clunk, and did not turn over due to gas in the cylinder, It only floods the #5 cylinder and not any others. When I pulled all the plugs and turn the engine over with a socket it pours about a cup, maybe more, of gas out of #5 cylinder only. I know diesel fuel is not the best thing to soak injectors in, but I did spray everything down with injector cleaner and blast it with compressed air before reassembly. Can anybody help me with this problem? It sounds to me like the injector to that cylinder is sticking open and the pump is running trying to build up pressure, but cannot due to an open injector. Any info or advice on what to do next would be appreciated, thanks.
