Ok, first thank you for the op., to be a member , now the truck I have is a c/1500, I bought it used a couple weeks ago, it was in the garage 3 month's before I got it, it had new brake's line's and wheel cylinder's rotor's drum's and caliper's d- cap rotor, plug's wire's and exhaust gasket's, now I went to buy it and cranked it over and it started and stalled right away, so I assumed fuel issue, towed it home and replaced the fuel pump, nothing, start and stall right away, ok, so I replaced the filter, same thing, put in new fuel injection spider, same thing, so I put in new coil, nope nothing, so I replaced plug's new ac/delco, same thing, no clue? but the funny thing is fuel test came out 62 psi to the intake, gauge used brand new, then brand new spark tester clear so you can see spark, lol every plug has spark coil to d-cap d-cap to wires, wires to plug, compression is 150, to 183 in the cylinders so I have all the making's of an engine that should run but it won't, signal to PCM from all sensor's is good, code read tps low voltage and MAF sensor low voltage, ok, cleaned MAF, and TPS, now it still has nothing in start, here's the weird: if I pull out 2 random spark plug's any combo it will fire up and run on 6 cylinder's it run's rufffffff, but throttle's up and hold's idle until I turn it off, put the 2 random plug's back in and it won't start, any idea to help me out

Sounds very much like an electrical problem. Enough power to run 6 sparks plugs with a consistent spark but not enough to run all 8. maybe check the alternators output and inspect the wiring harness for any monkey business. After you cleaned the TPS and MAF, does it still read low voltage?

97 gmc v-8 runs on 6 cylinders with 2 plugs out

all codes cleared so not showing low voltage any more not sure if ecm is the problem funny tho i start it on 7 cylinders and it stalls out in a couple of seconds but pull out any plug so it has 6 and it runs i have never seen this been wrenching for 30 years and i cant figure it out
