1997 GMC sierra z71 popping noise any ideas?

It pops when taking off from a stop like a stop sign or red light. Its from the drive shaft area. Its more like a jolt. It does it around 15 mph going from first to second gear. Any ideas?? It drives fine around town but if you drive it longer than about 30 mins. it starts to do this.

Could be a Torque Converter issue or you may have a crack flex plate. To play safe, have a transmission shop go for a test drive to see where the poping noise is coming from. Most transmission shop will test drive free of charge, so call around and please keep us posted. ;)
