Me and my freind want to go offroading, neither of us are pros . The jimmy ahs a 4.3L vortec v6 displaceing 264ci and the camanche has a 242ci v6 both put out about 190 horses but the jimmy puts out 250 lbs of torque and the jeep has 230. The jimmies heavier and the Cammanche has better suspension. Who would win. MY freind in th jeep is a little more trigger happy and reckless.
both of the vehicles are stock, no modifications. The traislwere going on have alot of mud and dirt not so much rocks and ledges.

The independent front makes the jimmy more stable at higher speeds, but more likely to get stuck in a hole, so if you are cruising across the desert, or hitting the fire trails, i would go with the jimmy, if you are climbing hills, hitting the rocks, or anything else that will get them twisted, the jeep will come out on top. I would pick the jeep for a trail vehicle, but the jimmy for anything else.

The 4.3 Vortec is actually a 262ci engine (you were close though), and the 4.0 AMC engine in your Jeep is actually an inline 6, not a V6. I'm not sure what you mean by "who will win?" They both are fairly good off-road vehicles, but I'd rather be in the Jeep pickup because it has more low-end torque and is less top heavy.

Even though the Jimmy has more peak torque then your Jeep, the Jeep makes it at a lower RPM which is ideal for most off-road circumstances.
