Hello, My AC, when on, blows hot air, so I decided to DIM and bought some of that expensive Recharge bottles with the gauge. I did exactly as per instructions in the Haynes Manual and on the back of the Refrigerant can. I started the engine, turned AC to a MAX, I heard the compressor come on and started to squeeze in the refrigerant but few seconds later I heard the compressor make loud noise and started to smoke and struggle to turn and the smoke started to come out of it.

What is the problem? How should I diagnose what the problem is? And what should I do to fix this?

Thank you!

P.S. Day 2. I tried doing everything once again just to be sure and here is what I did. I disconnected the wire going into the accumulator and hotwired it so that the AC Compressor is always ON (According to haynes Manual). Started the Engine, AC to MAX. Plugged in the Refrigirant CAN to a lower port and started adding it to the system. Sure thing few minutes later I had AC Compressor right were it hugs the serpentile belt overheating and filling my garage with smoke.

I immidiate turned everything off and that was the end of that. I noticed that when I jumped the low pressure cycling switch for compressor to stay ON the black dist in front of it did not move like it did initially. So What do you think is the problem and what should I do? Thank you very much!
