MY 1998 Truck will start then Immediately Shuts OFF Then well not refire just turns over I spray starter fluid in air box truck will run for a min on starter Fluid I pulled Fuel Pump Relay and tested power box leads I have CONSTANT Power TO 86 & 87 NOW PULSATING POWER TO 87 WHILE WIFE CRANKS MOTOR !!!! PLEASE HELP Bought A New FUEL PUMP But Now Don't Think It Is The PROBLEM have Not Installed It Yet PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN THANKS Biker John Have Owned Truck Since NEW Have Over 250000 Miles on it and still in love with it PLEASE HELP Truck Has BEEN WELL MANTAINED

I'm not a real good car mechanic, but I do know there's usually a pigtail at the left corner windshield area that when you power it, it'll run the fuel pump. You can run a wire from the battery over to it. That way, you can run the pump continuously instead of the 2 seconds it runs when you turn the switch on. Put your gauge on the fuel rail and you can monitor your fuel pressure with the pump running.
