I have a 1998 Jimmy 2WD and it refuses to start. After doing some research and past experience show that it's not starting because of the distributor cap. My question is does anyone have any idea why the gauges are not working, or why the signal lights won't work. The vehicle will not shift out of gear either.
I have checked all the fuses and they are not burnt out. I put a fuse tester on them and I get no light. I move them to a different location and test them and they light up fine. The hazard lights work fine but no turn signals. I can't shift out of gear unless I use the bypass located under the leather cover on the gear shift. The computer did not give back any information at all. Not that it didn't give errors, but no read out at all.
I'm out of things to suspect, any input would be greatly appreciated.
